Derrick Owino, a teacher at Majansi High School, and his 10-year-old son had a nightmare during a Sunday morning prayer service at Tororo Pentecostal Church. They were hit by a carelessly driven Toyota Mark X that was going toward Tororo town as they were riding boda boda. 

The unnamed Mark X driver was allegedly inebriated according to eyewitnesses. After creating the collision and leaving a trail of injuries, he ran from the site. The accident injured Owino, his kid, and the boda boda driver. 

Thank goodness, they were hurried to Tororo Main Hospital by kind strangers. However, because of the severity of his brain injuries, Owino's son required more treatment. He was sent to Mbale Referral Hospital so that a more in-depth assessment could be performed.
