Gen. Moses Ali compliments Museveni on his skill

President Museveni has received praise from Deputy Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Gen. Moses Ali for his unwavering leadership in assisting society in finding answers to pressing problems that impact Ugandans in their daily lives, such as the country's persistently high rate of young unemployment.

"We owe His Excellency the President a debt of appreciation for this historic step in the ongoing quest for workable answers to the problems facing Uganda's young today, primarily unemployment and a mismatch between skills and market demands. Gen. Moses Ali praised him for leading the government to develop programs like these Industrial Hubs to train our youth in fields related to the dynamics of what he refers to as the real economy.

On April 19, 2024, Gen. Ali, who also serves as a member of parliament for the Adjumani West Constituency, was the chief guest at the Madi subregion Industrial Zonal Hub's first graduation ceremony in the Adjumani district. Dr. Oboka George, the MP for the Madi constituency and vice head of the Madi Parliamentary Group and West Nile Parliamentary Caucus, read the address made by Gen. Ali.
A total of 450 students from the first and second intakes, primarily from the Madi sub-region's districts of Moyo, Adjumani, and Obongi, received certificates for completing their vocational training in seven (7) different disciplines: building and construction practice, carpentry & joinery, welding and metal fabrications, bakery & confectionery, tailoring and design, hairdressing and makeup, and leather processing (shoe making).

According to Gen. Moses Ali, the skills are rarely taught in our conventional education system, despite the fact that Uganda's and the East African Community's (EAC) market is always in need of them.
